Summary
The Mechanical Drafting Estimator’s primary duties are drafting all production parts manufactured at Mack Hils Metal Fabrication (MHMF) utilizing the CAD/CAM software system. The following list of duties are an integral part of the Mechanical Drafting Estimator job duties but is not an all-inclusive list. We are willing to train the candidate with the right attitude and aptitude in areas that may be missing or lacking to ensure growth of the right candidate as MHMF grows. The Mechanical Drafting Estimator’s position can be altered or expanded by management to meet the needs and demands of MHMF when necessary.
Essential Functions
- CAD/CAM programming/drafting of all new Customer parts for Production, including updating new revisions as receiving from MHMF Customers.
- Technical Support to Production.
- Quality Support to Quality Supervisor and Production including, but not limited to:
- Inspection of First Article parts
- Inspecting parts during production
- Adherence to the policies and procedures of the ISO-9001 guidelines through the use of the Quality Manual and the Quality Management Software.
- Fixture and Tool Design as trained
Required Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
- Knowledge and training in various computer programs to include, but not limited to CAD/CAM drafting program, Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
- Striker and Dr.ABE CNC Programming software a plus, but not required
- Faro Arm CMM measuring software a plus, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, revision, etc.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to handle stress and fatigue related to tight deadlines
