Purpose & Scope: Work closely with Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse functions to include but not limited to: inventories, organization, deliveries, data input, reports, and cost savings and control.
Principle Responsibilities: Functions may include, but are not limited to:
  • Daily ordering of non-inventoried goods by converting submitted purchase requisitions into purchase orders through contacting suppliers.
  • Daily processing of the direct issue reorder ensuring all details of the order are accurate.
  • Communicating order statuses with customers.
  • Maintaining a culture of safety through require Alchemy safety training.
  • Daily Cycle Count Tracking Report to confirm inventories and reorder inventoried items as needed.
  • Coordinating with all departments to create open communication for operational excellence.
  • Continuous monitoring of shrink amounts at the Warehouse and corrective actions to prevent shrinkage.
  • Ensuring all Warehouse staff are professional and courteous with all customers through training and leading by example.
  • Submitting work orders to maintenance as repairs are needed at the Warehouse.
  • Implement all procedures needed for biosecurity purposes.
  • Communicate with vendors and outside providers.
  • Provide other duties and services as required.
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines
  • Motivate team members.
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching as needed.
  • Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
  • Suggest and organize team building activities.
Travel: Occasionally
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years’ warehouse experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to operate forklift and any other equipment deemed necessary
  • Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position.
  • Ability to lift more than 50lbs regularly
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Good understanding of computer systems
  • Strong sense of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
  • Team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethic
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Bio-Security and swine production
  • Proven safety track record and awareness of safety issues
