PCE, a leader in commercial general contracting in central Missouri, is looking for an experienced General Foreman. PCE has over 35 years of experience and is located in Columbia, MO.

Our Foreman are responsible for assisting in all activities at the construction site, including providing a safe and productive work environment, communicating with trades and subcontractors, and helping direct PCE employees as needed

Responsibilities:

• Self-perform work in the field alongside internal labor and other trades
• Assist in job site management and project progress as directed
• Coordination of internal labor, subcontractors and material suppliers as directed
• Provide a safe work environment
• Order materials and coordinate deliveries to coincide with construction progress as directed
• Provide daily reports to superintendent
• Assist in quality control by adhering to the project plans, specifications, codes, and other governmental agencies requirements.
• Assist in coordination of inspections and insure that testing is being performed per the contract documents.
• Maintain communication flow between superintendent and PM as needed.
• Act as an employee mentor and regularly review performances as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience with ground up construction, including foundation construction
• Ability to use layout equipment, laser, transit, (total station is a plus)
• Ability to properly operate a skid loader, mini excavator, scissor lifts, snorkel lift, etc.
• Rough and finish carpentry skills
• Drywall, misc. specialties experience
• Demonstrated communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/specs
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic technology skills (laptop or Ipad)
• Math proficiency
• Work with TOOLS
• Live in Central MO or already have plans to relocate
• Ability to work alone, if needed
• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
