The City of Moberly will be accepting applications for part time seasonal workers in the Public Utilities Distribution & Collection Department.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Reclamation of existing excavations including bringing rock to grade in excavations in the roadway, tilling, seeding, and strawing excavations that are in yards and grassy areas. Equipment used will include walk-behind tiller, tractor and tractor-mounted tiller, and backhoes.
• Exercising water main valves in accordance with the City valve exercising program. Equipment used includes truck and valve exercise trailer and equipment.
• Assessing service line material and inputting information for the City lead line inventory according to City and DNR regulations.
• Assisting in regular maintenance of vehicles and City buildings; these duties will include cleaning, greasing, and care of city vehicles and equipment along with preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining right of ways using City equipment and mower. Equipment used includes Kubota tractor and brush hog, or skid steer.

All seasonal help will be trained on equipment prior to use or placed with a current employe to learn on the job skills and procedures.
