Overview

The Auto Body and Paint Technician services, refurbishes, and repairs trucks, tanks and equipment. The primary responsibility is performing paint and body work on equipment and vehicles. In all responsibilities, the Technician will assure use of safety standards which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Refurbish company truck tanks and service beds for installation on chassis
  • Prepare trucks, tanks and equipment for painting by sanding, sand blasting, body filling and priming
  • Perform body and paint work on vehicles, tanks, and service beds
  • Buff and polish aluminum tanks and decks
  • Remove and install decals
  • Clean, service and maintain company equipment as assigned
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of products and services offered by company
  • Operate safely at all times, according to company safety procedures
  • Communicate any issues as they relate to safety or efficiencies to supervisor for both trucks and equipment
  • Maintain inventory of parts and equipment related to job duties
  • Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked
  • All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience with and ability to use a wide range of automotive repair tools
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
  • Ability to perform detail work with accuracy and critically assess vehicle damage and repair cost
  • Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 100 pounds
  • Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors
  • Ability to consistently drive and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
  • Ability and willingness to work scheduled overtime
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, MVR check and criminal background check
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
