First State is looking for an accomplished candidate to fill the role of President. The President position will lead all division/market based strategies to grow the business into the premier financial services provider that drives quality of life in a designated market.
The President will be responsible for creating an effective customer experience, employee experience and ensuring operational soundness of their market.

- Maintain a positive relationship with, and effectively utilize board of directors
- A focus on relationship building; portraying a warm, friendly and personable demeanor with our customer base as well as all First State team members
- Monitor and sustain high quality assets in the portfolio originated by your division/market and maintain low levels of past due accounts and non-performing assets
Accountability
- Promote First State within your market by engaging in and encouraging civic involvement of employees, community volunteerism and participation in company sponsored activities throughout the community
- Ensure effective stewardship of resources
Initiative
- Encourage business growth through Asset Quality, Earnings, Expense Control and Business Development
- Ability to develop a coherent, well-thought through business plan utilizing appropriate financial forecasts
Adaptability
- Stay abreast of industry trends with financial products and services
- Keep pace with constant change in State and Federal regulatory environment
- Encourage self-development of your team, lead internal discussions and be willing to share concerns with elected officials when necessary

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or appropriate experience
- 10 years industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of accounting and accounting principals
- Knowledge of financial and cash flow statements
- Must possess ability to lead people in a strategic direction
- Ability to work well under pressure is a must
- Sound decision making abilities within the defined procedures and practices of First State is required
- Exceptional communication skills required. Necessary for;
