We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in person in our Columbia, MO office - this role is not eligible for Hybrid or Remote work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing relationships with vendors. As a key member of our finance team, the Accounts Payable Specialist will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the financial success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices for all branches, departments and shops

  • Reconcile statements monthly ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved

  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that accounts payable aligns with the overall goals of the company

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounts payable

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, with experience in a construction setting preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
