Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bridge Carpenter to support bridge and structural concrete construction projects. This role is responsible for formwork, layout, and carpentry tasks related to bridge decks, piers, abutments, retaining walls, and other structural elements. This is a hands‑on position working as part of a skilled bridge crew on active construction sites.
What You’ll Do
Build, install, and remove concrete formwork for bridge and structural components
Read and follow construction plans, drawings, and layout references
Assist with concrete placement, finishing support, and form alignment
Construct temporary and permanent wood structures related to bridge work
Work with foremen, laborers, and operators to safely meet production goals
Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
Follow all company safety policies and jobsite procedures
Perform other duties as assigned related to bridge construction
What We’re Looking For
Previous carpenter experience in heavy civil, bridge, or concrete construction preferred
Knowledge of form systems, layout, and structural carpentry methods
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced construction environment
Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
Dependable, motivated, and willing to take direction from supervision
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry preferred
2+ years of experience in carpentry, with experience in a construction setting preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
OSHA 10 preferred
Work Environment
This role involves outdoor construction work on active bridge and roadway job sites. Safety is a top priority, and proper training and equipment are provided.
