Director of Preventive Maintenance

- Own and manage the company-wide oil sampling and fluid health program
- Ensure samples are pulled, submitted, tracked, and closed out on schedule
- Interpret results, identify risk trends, and drive timely corrective action plans
- Partner with shops and operations leaders to prevent failures through early detection
- Establish program standards, documentation, and communication expectations
- Provide training, guidance, and accountability across the organization
- Lead the development and execution of a disciplined PM program
- Ensure PMs are scheduled and completed within compliance windows
- Monitor performance, overdue lists, repeat failures, and program integrity
- Partner closely with Shop Managers to improve planning, load balance, and wrench efficiency
- Standardize PM procedures, inspection expectations, and documentation
- Ensure accuracy of hour reporting to support scheduling, warranty protection, and lifecycle planning
- Identify systemic gaps and lead corrective and improvement initiatives
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for fuel and lube truck operations
- Ensure safe, efficient, and well-coordinated support for jobsite operations
- Optimize routing, deployment, and productivity of fuel and lube resources
- Support contamination control, storage standards, accountability, and best practices
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and leadership reporting
- Provide visibility into PM compliance, oil sample status, risk exposure, and trends
- Support warranty recovery and risk mitigation through disciplined documentation
- Partner with Risk, Safety, and Operations to enforce standards and expectations
- Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements
- PM compliance rate
- Reduction of overdue PMs
- Oil sample completion and turnaround performance
- Closure rate on critical oil sample findings
- Reduction in preventable failures and downtime
- Fuel and lube efficiency and productivity metrics
- Experience in heavy equipment maintenance, fleet management, or the construction industry preferred
- Proven leadership experience in managing preventive maintenance programs
- Strong understanding of oil analysis and fluid health preferred
- Ability to interpret technical data and drive organizational accountability
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
