We are seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Dispatcher to join our Transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing schedules, communicating with team members, and ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures. As a key member of our Operations team, the Dispatcher will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch company equipment and personnel to job sites, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Communicate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that equipment and personnel deployment aligns with the overall goals of the company
- Monitor and track the progress of ongoing projects, adjusting schedules as necessary to ensure that deadlines are met
- Develop and maintain reports and metrics related to equipment and personnel deployment, and communicate information to stakeholders
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure that all equipment-related activities are carried out in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment and personnel scheduling and deployment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in dispatching or scheduling, preferably in a construction setting
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience using dispatch or scheduling software preferred
