Chariton Valley Communications Corporation is looking for a full-time Sales Engineer to join our team. Following our mission, Keeping You Connected, Chariton Valley has provided state-of-the-art communication solutions to businesses and residents in Northeast Missouri for 70 years.

As a Sales Engineer, you’ll partner closely with our Enterprise Sales team to discover customer needs, design the right solutions, and help close business. You’ll translate business goals into technical architectures, create bills of materials and labor estimates, and support the sales cycle with clear, timely, and accurate technical guidance.


The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP networking concepts such as NAT, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and Layer 2 versus Layer 3, along with core protocols like DHCP and DNS. They should also possess knowledge of wireless networking and demonstrate strong technical fluency with common business applications such as Microsoft 365 and web browsers, as well as the ability to learn customer‑specific software. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot system‑level issues, analyze data, and identify patterns that support proactive planning. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑focused approach are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. A high school diploma or GED is required, and an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
