Chariton Valley is looking for a full-time HR Assistant to join our team. Following our mission, Keeping You Connected, Chariton Valley has provided state-of-the-art communication solutions to businesses and residents in Northeast Missouri for over 70 years.
We’re looking for a dedicated and detail‑oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This role will support a wide range of HR and safety functions, including workplace safety compliance, benefits administration, recruitment support, recordkeeping, and coordination of safety training programs. If you enjoy helping people, staying organized, and contributing to a safe and compliant work environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Job qualifications include a strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and basic employment law, along with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Candidates should demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and effectively manage competing deadlines. This role also requires proficiency with computers, solid problem‑solving abilities, and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical/vocational school is required, or at least one year of related experience. A degree in Health and Safety or Environmental Safety is preferred.
