About the Role:
As an Application and Integration Engineer at Bomgaars, you will design, develop, and support applications, system configurations, and integrations that keep the business running. This role partners across departments to deliver scalable, practical solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen data integrity, and support growth across the organization.
What a Day in the Life Looks Like:
- Partner with business teams to identify needs, analyze opportunities, and deliver application and integration solutions
- Design, develop, test, and deploy applications, configurations, and integrations across multiple business systems
- Maintain and support integrations scross internal systems, websites, and external platforms
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement practical enhancements
- Ensure data integrity across systems and data flows
- Support server environments, including operating system updates and configuration needs
- Assist users and support teams with application functionality and integration-related issues
- Document processes, configurations, and system changes clearly and consistently

Who We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Detailed-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- An effective communicator who can work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical partners
- Experience in retail or distribution environments is preferred

What You'll Bring:
- Experience with Microsoft.NET framework and application development
- Working knowledge of C#, Java, or similar programming languages
- Experience with SQL and database management, with T-SQL preferred
- Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and data exchange processes
- Experience with Windows operating system management and command line tools
- Understanding of TCP/IP configuration and network fundamentals
- Experience supporting application, data, and server environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems, API development, or Azure environments is a plus
