Bomgaars is seeking motivated, customer service oriented individuals to work in the Garden Center during peak gardening seasons.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Agriculture background helpful
• Product knowledge - flowers, fruit trees, plants and vegetables
• Willing to work outside for extended time periods
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
• Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Must be able to work part-time hours - 2 days per week, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and rotating weekends, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (shift premium paid for working weekends)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Freight handling/Merchandising indoors and outdoors/Signage with plant information
• Maintain the nursery area (varying weather conditions)
• Basic gardening tasks (watering, weeding, fertilizing, and repotting as needed)
• Stocking with new plants/rotating inventory/checking for damaged or unhealthy plants
• Handling phone calls
• Assisting customer with product selection and load outs

Wage is $12.00 per hour, based on experience
