Bomgaars is seeking a friendly, customer service oriented individual with retail experience to work in the Feed departments and the Garden Center. Position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment while providing excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Product knowledge - Livestock & Pet Feed, plants, shrubs, and vegetables
• Willing to work outside for extended time periods
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and standing for long periods of time
• Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Must be available to work flexible schedules - days, evenings, weekends to meet watering sessions (shift premium paid for working weekends)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Freight handling/Forklift operation/Pallet jacks (varying weather conditions)
• Sales/Stocking/Recovery
• Merchandising indoors and outdoors/Signage with plant information
• Maintain the garden center area (varying weather conditions)
• Basic gardening tasks (watering, weeding, fertilizing, and repotting as needed)
• Stocking with new plants/rotating inventory/checking for damaged or unhealthy plants
• Ensure departments are clean, organized, and well stocked
• Assisting customers with product selection and load outs
• Handling phone calls

*Pre-employment drug screen required

Wage is $14.50 per hour, based on experience
