Bomgaars is seeking a motivated, customer service oriented individual to fill a Seasonal Department Lead position. The individual will oversee the operations of the Garden Center. Position offers an opportunity to be a productive team member.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Retail experience
• Product knowledge - live plants, garden center
• Administrative skills to complete paperwork, pricing, and record keeping
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail/organizational skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50+ lbs on a regular basis with bending and squatting
• Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Must be available to work flexible schedules based on seasonal sales volumes, weather conditions, customer demands - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hire, lead, and schedule Garden Center associates to support plant care and nursery standards
• Weekly plant ordering
• Coordinate bulk plant orders with landscapers and commercial customers
• Monitor plant health and watering needs
• Sales/Cashier/Recovery
• Ensure department is clean, organized, and well stocked
• Assisting customers with product selection and load outs
• Handling phone calls

Starting wage is $15.00 per hour, based on experience
